Product Owner · Applied-AI Delivery · Houston, TX

A Houston-based delivery leader who owns applied-AI systems from brief to production, with 12+ years owning the full lifecycle of enterprise software across banking, financial crimes, telecom, and environmental services. On my own time I set the brief for applied-AI systems and build them through Claude, to learn where the technology earns its keep and to practice the harder discipline of proving it works. My north star: outcomes, not output. AI is the new paintbrush; what I bring is the part it can’t, knowing when the output is good enough to ship.

How I build

Author the brief, hold the line on good

I'm an early, hands-on adopter of generative AI, and I ship real applications with Claude: systems that carry live users, evaluation harnesses, and a monthly cost budget, not weekend demos. Here is how the work splits. I author the product brief and the acceptance criteria; Claude does much of the implementation, inside guardrails I set.

Those guardrails are the unglamorous ones: no future data leaks into a training window, every number on the page traces back to a source, and the thing has to be correct before it ships. That last part is where my judgment lives now, deciding what good means for a given system and holding the ship button until it's met.

Experience

The path so far

    Now

    Manager, Managed Services (MSP)

Everforth Quinnox · Waste Management (Digital Sustainability) · Houston, TX

    • Own product and delivery direction for Waste Management’s Digital Sustainability portfolio: setting the roadmap, prioritizing the backlog by business value and operational risk, and balancing feature delivery against 24×7 production support.
    • Serve as primary product and engagement owner with the client: translate business goals into a prioritized roadmap and manage scope, change, staffing, and release decisions end to end.
    • Direct cross-functional, distributed delivery and operations teams through the SDLC and ITIL-based service management.
    • Drive continuous improvement across the portfolio (reduced P1/P2 incidents by ~25% and improved deployment frequency by 30%) and apply AI-assisted tools, including Claude, to accelerate code review, documentation, and operational workflows.
  2. May 2023 to Mar 2025

Sr. Manager, Application Development (Financial Crimes Technology)

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) · Toronto, ON

    • Owned a portfolio of three internal enterprise applications end to end (Internal Threat Analytics, Secure File Storage, and an Employee Coaching Portal) from concept and stakeholder needs through release and ongoing support.
    • Owned the product roadmap and backlog, prioritizing features against business impact and regulatory risk; gathered requirements directly from compliance and investigation stakeholders and validated them through UAT before release.
    • Made build-vs-buy and architecture decisions (security, scalability, availability), building in-house where regulatory control and data sensitivity required it.
    • Sequenced delivery toward business outcomes (cut investigation cycle time by 35%) and coordinated production releases and post-release support.
  3. Feb 2021 to May 2023

Manager, Application Development (Financial Crimes Technology)

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) · Toronto, ON

    • Took the Internal Threat Analytics product from concept to production, leading a full-stack team through discovery, definition, and the SDLC to deliver REST APIs and web microservices.
    • Translated stakeholder needs into requirements and a prioritized backlog across Go, Python, Angular, and Next.js, mentoring the team on modern practices.
    • Implemented CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) that improved delivery cadence from monthly to bi-weekly releases.
    • Oversaw product stability and compliance through disciplined change and incident management.
  4. Mar 2020 to Feb 2021
